What we did during our week:<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Language Arts and Writing: We worked on recognizing and writing the letter B and the letter Y. We watch the \u2018story bot\u2019 videos to introduce each letter before we talk about it – the kids love them if you are interested in looking at them with your child at home on Youtube. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Math: We practiced recognizing, writing and representing numbers 4, 5, and 6. \u00a0In addition, we learned about squares, rectangles, and triangles.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Science: We are still learning about our 5 senses. We did an experiment with Pop Rocks. We talked about what we see, hear, feel, smell, and taste with our Pop Rocks! <\/span><\/p>\n

Social Studies: We are still practicing and getting better at our procedures every day! We have a very chatty class, and are working on keeping our hands to ourselves. Please engage in this conversation with your child at home to help encourage this behavior. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

Other: Wednesday we had an assembly from the Dearborn police and their police dog.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Glimpse into next week\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next week we will be looking at and working with apples in preparation for our field trip! We will be voting on our favorite way to eat apples and then have a yummy snack on Friday after we paint with apples. <\/span><\/p>\n

Important Information:<\/b><\/p>\n

Our Gym days are Monday and Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Field Trip forms for the Apple Orchard were sent home, please have those returned, with money in an envelope by September 29th.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please remember to empty your child\u2019s green folder every night, reading egg information was sent home on Tuesday! Next week communication logs will be sent home, this is a place where we can exchange any notes – please sign for each day. Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n

I sent home a sheet with the letters that your child did and did not know according to our most recent testing. This is purely to help keep you in the loop and to give you information so you know what to practice on at home in regards to letters. We are working on learning our letters everyday. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n
