This was a very short card marking (6 weeks).\u00a0 The last card marking is 12 weeks.<\/p>\n
Here is where we are heading in those last and final \ud83d\ude41 weeks together.<\/p>\n
Language Arts:\u00a0 We continue reading in our strategy groups engaging in deep discussion about the themes in our stories.\u00a0 Mr. Farkas has been coming in to help us prepare for the M-Step Writing Prompt.\u00a0 It is a new type of prompt given on the test and we want to make sure our students feel prepared.<\/p>\n
Math:\u00a0 Unit 8 focuses on fractions.\u00a0 The week after Spring Break the students will have their Unit 8 Assessment.\u00a0 This assessment will highlight fraction representation, equivalent fractions, fractions on a number line and problem solving with fractions.<\/p>\n
Social Studies:\u00a0 We will begin our unit on Michigan government.\u00a0 Right now, we are about to finish learning early economic activities in Michigan.<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 Our class is learning about animals, their ecosysems, adaptations and traits.\u00a0 This unit will continue into the next card marking.<\/p>\n
