I hope you had a wonderful, long weekend and are ready to &#8220;get back at it&#8221; this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Physical Activity<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know that research tells us that if you\u2019re not active when you\u2019re young, you are more likely to become an inactive adult? When you\u2019re older, being inactive puts you at a higher risk of developing life-threatening conditions such as heart disease and cancer. This is why it&#8217;s important to exercise and keep yourself fit and healthy starting at a young age!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s yoga, the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/19S4Qmo7mndAwosENCAK3JTWJD5lpEj6Y\/view\">Sun A-B-C flow<\/a>, from the Kids Work It Out program starts with breath as a foundation, then carries it through three separate yoga flows meant to strengthen and ignite body, spirit, and mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Video: https:\/\/youtu.be\/rAJtSL2MHZM (Time: 15:31)<br>\u2022 Handout: <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/19S4Qmo7mndAwosENCAK3JTWJD5lpEj6Y\/view\">Sun A-B-C Yoga Flow<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s workout from The Body Project will get you moving! Are you up for the challenge?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Nutrition and Healthy Eating<\/strong><br>Dine on a Dime: <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Cauliflower Rice<\/span><\/strong><br>Cauliflower is a powerhouse veggie \u2013 with each serving packing a punch of fiber and B vitamins, but did you also know it is a great substitute for rice? You can find frozen \u201crice cauliflower\u201d in your grocery store\u2019s freezer section and it\u2019s a cheap and healthy way to swap out grains for veggies in many of your favorite dishes. Try it out with one of our recipes below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deconstructed Veggie Burrito Bowl<\/strong><br>Ingredients:<br>\u00b7 2 cups frozen riced cauliflower<br>\u00b7 1 cup canned black beans (drained)<br>\u00b7 2 tsp. Olive oil<br>\u00b7 1\/2 tsp. Ground cumin<br>\u00b7 1\/2 cup chunky salsa<br>Instructions:<br>Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add in riced cauliflower and black beans. Season riced cauliflower and black beans with ground cumin. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Stir in salsa and heat ingredients together for another 5 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple Veggie Stir Fry<\/strong><br>Ingredients:<br>\u00b7 2 cups frozen riced cauliflower<br>\u00b7 1 cup fresh or frozen mixed veggies (try: peas, carrots, peppers, edamame, and\/or onions)<br>\u00b7 3 tablespoons of reduced sodium soy sauce<br>\u00b7 2 tsp olive oil<br>\u00b7 Optional: green onions for garnish<br>Instructions:<br>Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add in riced cauliflower and frozen veggies and cook for 10 minutes.
