Find ways that your family likes to be active \u2013 not only is it a good way to spend time together, you\u2019ll all be getting healthier too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s KWIO yoga sequence is a \u201cCentered Flow\u201d which focuses on knowing that your center of existence and personal power comes from within you! Work up a sweat and keep your body strong and healthy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nutrition and Healthy Eating<\/strong><br>Gardening Greats: YOU can grow veggies!<br>Good news \u2013 you don\u2019t need garden beds or even a yard to grow your own vegetables \u2013 there are many things you can grow in a small space or in a pot on your patio! Some of the best options for pots or small containers are:<br>\u2022 Sweet peppers<br>\u2022 Tomatoes<br>\u2022 Chili peppers<br>\u2022 Kale and Lettuce<br>\u2022 Spinach<br>\u2022 Onions<br>\u2022 Radishes<br>\u2022 beans<br>You can start with seeds, but you can also start with scraps from the vegetables you buy at the grocery store. Check out this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZJuXpiEjdcc&amp;feature=youtu.be\">video<\/a> for how to do this to grow carrots, onions, garlic, lettuce, and lots of herbs from what you\u2019d otherwise throw away!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you grow your own veggies, you\u2019ll see that the part of the plant that you actually eat varies \u2013 sometimes it\u2019s the leaves (like with lettuce), the stems (asparagus and celery), the roots (carrots and potatoes), fruit (tomato and pepper), seeds (chickpeas), or flower (broccoli and cauliflower).
