Today, if you\u2019re able, aim to do your workout outside \u2013 taking care of our bodies outdoors helps us remember the importance of taking care of our environment, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Earth Day<\/em> Workout of the Day (WOD)<\/strong>!<br>\u2022 Use this <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1HvaF4IXO5u4wN5HEoE8UuRLTORJjocWB\/view\">A-B-C exercise guide<\/a> (with video demonstrations)<br>\u2022 Using the associated exercises, spell \u201c<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">SUSTAIN<\/span><\/strong>\u201d. To sustain means to strengthen or support physically or mentally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your \u2018yellow\u2019 challenge today is to extend the WOD:<br>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1HvaF4IXO5u4wN5HEoE8UuRLTORJjocWB\/view\">Use this A-B-C exercise guide<\/a>:<br>\u2022 Using the associated exercises, spell \u201c<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">SUSTAINABLE<\/span><\/strong>!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s \u201cred\u201d activity involves challenging your friends to be physically active with you! On social media (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook), do 10 burpees, and then challenge 5 of your friends to do it too! To tag us, use <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">#healthykidsquarantined<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nutrition and Healthy Eating<\/strong><br><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Healthy Snack Hack: Trail Mix<\/span><\/strong><br>Changing the texture of the fruit or vegetables might help us eat more of a variety. For today\u2019s snack let\u2019s try dried fruits! Grapes (raisins), mango, coconut, or bananas all come in dried options! They taste great on their own but also are a great addition to many snacks. Add dried fruits to trail mix, yogurt and oatmeal, or put on celery with peanut butter. They are a healthy source of energy and fiber and are convenient to eat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<br>\u2022 1 cup of popcorn<br>\u2022 1 cup of whole grain cheerios<br>\u2022 \u00bc cup of nuts<br>\u2022 \u00bc cup dried fruit of choice, raisins, craisins or any other dried fruits<br>\u2022 Mix together and serve<br>BONUS: Happy Earth Day!
