Meet Mrs. Walters<\/em><\/h3>\nHello,<\/h3>\nMy name is Michele Walters and this is my 13th year teaching. \u00a0\u00a0I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2004 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a major in Early Childhood Education. \u00a0I taught preschool for several years and decided in 2009 to go back to school and get a M.A. in Special Education with a major in Autism Spectrum Disorder. \u00a0I graduated in 2011 from Madonna University and have been teaching special education ever since. \u00a0I absolutely love working with children that have special needs, especially children that have autism. \u00a0I am excited to be at Whitmore-Bolles and look forward to an awesome school year!<\/h3>\nWhen I am not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my family. \u00a0My husband, Brian, and my daughters Mackenzie and Breena\u00a0and my fur child Zoey (the cat) keep me very busy at home! \u00a0We love to spend time outdoors going for bike rides and long walks. \u00a0When I get a little “me” time I enjoy shopping for fuzzy items or anything that has a tail.\u00a0 I am also a huge fan of New Kids on the Block and can be found dancing around my home many times during the day to their music!\u00a0 I also love to do arts and crafts with my daughters and have recently spent the summer trying to complete a string art picture.\u00a0 The key word there is I “tried”.<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
