The quiz for these notes will be on Thursday, October 17th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can also practice on IXL.com, using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/ela\/grade-6\/identify-the-narrative-point-of-view\">6th Grade E.2 to practice point of view<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/ela\/grade-5\/punctuating-dialogue\">5th Grade SS.4 to practice dialogue<\/a>.  These assignments will be due on 10\/17\/19, before students take their test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will be working on metacognitive logs in class, basing our reactions on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Seedfolks<\/span>, which we should be finishing up soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will also begin brainstorming for their narrative writing assignment, which is to write the last chapter of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Seedfolks,<\/span> with a new character being added.  They may write as though they are not themselves, or may write from their own point of view.
