Hello Families!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have such a fun week and and fabulous end to the week! Next week are so excited to begin seeing each group two times a week face to face!!! YAY!!!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a look at some of the awesome things we did today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been featuring books by the author Laura Numeroff all week for March is Reading Month! Today we listened to two of her stories and practiced stating an opinion to tell which one is our favorite and why (a reason) that story is our favorite! The responses were so adorable! The children did such a great job stating their opinions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also practiced word by word match as we read a BM I read story. After reading the story together, we summarized the story by retelling through drawing and dictation what happened in the beginning, middle and end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the beginning of the story the family went to the beach. Next, they went to a parade, At the end, they went home and read a story.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We practiced blending the onset (beginning sound) with the rime (the string of letters that follow the initial sound) for the word family -et.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We listened to Jellybeans and the Big Book Bonanza by Laura Numeroff. We practiced comprehension by answering questions about the story. One of the questions the children answered through drawing. The question was, what was the girls’ favorite candy? The children drew and answered …… Jellybeans!!!! \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We practiced decomposing the number 10 to solve a word problem! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We decomposed the number 10 in many ways as we broke apart our 10 tower into different groups of 2 behind our backs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We learned about how rainbows are formed with a Mystery Science video.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We used a glass of water as a prism for the sunlight to shine through!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We caught our rainbows on our white paper!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We had so much fun catching rainbows together!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour tomorrow night before going to bed! We will enjoy longer amounts of daylight!!! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
