We also practiced making pictures in our minds about the story! (visualization) This is a great way for the children to become engaged in the story as well as a way to use their imagination to help them understand and comprehend the story. Here is a former video of us practicing the concept of counting words in a sentence. When reading with your child please point out to them how when we read books in English we read the words left to right and top to bottom. Point out there are spaces in between the words.
