<\/a>We are learning to identify the author and the illustrator of a book. We learned the author writes the words and the illustrator draws the pictures.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We used a magazine article about Dr. Seuss to identify characteristics of the books he has written and illustrated.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We learned Dr. Seuss uses silly characters. We are pointing the silly characters we see in the Dr Seuss books we have in our classroom.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We learned Dr. Seuss used u shaped pupils in his characters’ eyes. We are looking for evidence of that!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We found his name on the front of the book!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Dr. Seuss wrote 45 books! Fox in Socks is one of them!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>One Fish Two FIsh Red Fish Blue Fish is another!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We learned Dr. Seuss used many crazy machines and vehicles in his illustrations! We looked for evidence of that too!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We learned Dr. Seuss used many many rhyming words in his writing. We found rhyming words in Hop on Pop!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We used the back of our article to work with a buddy to find the characters that looked like they were illustrated by Dr. Seuss!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>Dr. Seuss wrote “Green Eggs and Ham”!….. One of our class favorites!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We also wrote “The Cat in the Hat Comes Back”!<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>We wrote “Hop on Pop”! Parents, this is a great book for your child to read to you! There are many words they can blend. They will feel so confident as a reader after trying this book! I highly recommend it!<\/p><\/div>\n
