Hello Families!<\/p>\n

Today was a terrific Tuesday! We practiced retelling a narrative story using the sentence stems, “In the beginning…., In the middle…., and At the end of the story….”. We also practiced telling our opinions about our favorite part, using the sentence stem, “I liked when…”. You can use this same retelling strategy as you read stories with your children at home. If I can be of any assistance in lending books, please let me know. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We also practiced addition with objects as well as a review of comparing numbers. When we compare two numbers we use the greater than, less than, and equal symbols. (>, <, =)<\/p>\n

We illustrated our opinion writing piece about what we like best about school. We told our opinions to our friends, “I like school because….”. Then we illustrated (drew) our opinion with detail. Tomorrow we will write the opinion statement to match our idea that was illustrated.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, Wednesday November 16th is a late start. School will begin at 9:30. The cafeteria will be open for breakfast at 9:00AM.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow is also the second night for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please be sure you come on your scheduled day at your scheduled time. Thank you so much!!! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

  1. Count to 100 by 1’s and 10’s.<\/li>\n
  2. Review the sight words in the reading bag.<\/li>\n
  3. Practice matching the uppercase and lowercase letter tiles from the reading bag AND say each sound for each letter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
