What are the Wh- questions? Who, What, Where, When, Why, How? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What <\/strong>questions are the first Wh- questions we begin to understand. What <\/strong>questions ask about a thing or an action (e.g., “What is he doing?”). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who <\/strong>questions are mastered next. These questions ask about a person (e.g., “Who picks up your garbage?”). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where <\/strong>questions are the third Wh- question mastered. Where <\/strong>questions ask about a place (e.g., “Where do birds live?”). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When <\/strong>and why <\/strong>questions are mastered last, with why <\/strong>being the hardest Wh- question to answer. When <\/strong>questions ask about a time (e.g., “When do we go to sleep?”) and why <\/strong>questions ask for a reason (e.g., “Why is he sad?”). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, how <\/strong>questions ask about numbers or the way something is done. They can also ask about a feeling (e.g., “How many pencils are there?” “How do you get to the library?” “How do you feel today?”).
