Let your kids make a choice with something they love for the topic of their poem.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let them choose their own topics and express their ideas in a haiku. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure they count syllables so it is\u00a0following the pattern. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try to make an observation in the last line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is an example of a <em>Haiku Poem<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>     I have yellow stripes.<br>     I fly to all the flowers.<br>     I\u2019m making honey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try it with your child!
