{"id":164,"date":"2016-04-14T13:45:01","date_gmt":"2016-04-14T17:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mcdonaldn\/?p=164"},"modified":"2016-04-14T13:45:01","modified_gmt":"2016-04-14T17:45:01","slug":"color-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/mcdonaldn\/2016\/04\/14\/color-run\/","title":{"rendered":"Color Run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We will be having our first annual Color Run at Howe School on <strong>April 27, 2016<\/strong>. \u00a0We will be doing this to promote the importance of fitness to the kids and show them how fun running can be. \u00a0The students will be running through a course down at Hines Park just west of Outer Dr. \u00a0The event will begin around <strong>3:00pm<\/strong>. \u00a0We will start walking down around 2:45pm.<\/p>\n<p>During the run, adults will be throwing non-toxic colored powder on the students as they reach certain checkpoints. \u00a0Students will be given a pair of glasses to protect their eyes from direct contact. \u00a0The color washes out of most clothes, but not all clothes, dress accordingly. \u00a0For more information on the powder visit <em>colorblaze5k.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On this day, students will need to be picked up from Hines Park&#8217;s Helm&#8217;s Haven (Just west of Outer Dr.) picnic area at the normal time. \u00a0Students will not be allowed back in the building after event.
