Good Morning and Happy Monday!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a lot of new information this week so I apologize in advance for the length of this post!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can find the Weekly Classwork Calendars <\/strong>on the Smith blog here–there is also a summary of new student expectations per the district’s plan.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 6th Grade Social Studies this week, you will see three new assignments on Google Classroom: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Australia: Movement (I recommend you complete this on 4\/20)<\/em><\/li>
  2. Australia: Region (I recommend you complete this on 4\/22)<\/em><\/li>
  3. Australia: Assessment (I recommend you complete this on 4\/24)<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The movement and region assignments follow the same format as last week’s work: read the slideshow or watch the video presentation, complete the questions on the Google Form, check\/revise your work with the “view accuracy” and “edit your response” tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Australia Assessment is on a Google Form. There is a video in which I explain directions. You will NOT be able to edit your responses once you have pressed submit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Scoring for online assignments will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Social Studies \/ Science Google Meets: <\/strong>Wednesday and Friday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. 2nd Hour (A and B) 9:30<\/li>
    2. 3rd Hour (A and B) 10:15<\/li>
    3. 4th Hour (A and B) 1:00<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Social Studies Office Hours: <\/strong>I will be at my computer during these times to respond to questions immediately. If you would like a phone call, please send me an email requesting it \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Tuesday: 10:00-11:00<\/li>
      2. Thursday: 1:30-2:30<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        During the rest of the week, I will do my best to respond to emails, comments, and help desk tickets as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
