I hope that everyone enjoyed their long weekend and kept warm! Below you will find what we are working on for the week of January 22-25.<\/p>\n<p>Daily 5 &#8211; The book this week is called Polar Bears. We will be learning about non-fiction texts.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling \u2013 This week starts our spelling unit. The word family for the week is the \u2013at family. The spelling words that will be coming home are: bat, cat, fat, he, on, for.<\/p>\n<p>Math \u2013 We are continuing to work on module 3. For the next few lessons we will be comparing length and height with cubes.<\/p>\n<p>Homework Pages: 229, 233, 234, 237, 238<\/p>\n<p>Writing &#8211; For the month of January we will be working on informational writing. We will be finishing our writing on Penguins!<\/p>\n<p>Science \u2013 For science we are focusing on severe weather. We will start by talking about what is a meteorologist.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Tuesday 1\/22 \u2013 Half Day, dismissal at 11:45am<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Friday 1\/25 \u2013 Family Eureka Math Day, 2:00-3:25pm and PTA Pizza Sale at dismissal<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
