Welcome to 6th grade! This is a special year as you transition from an elementary student to a secondary student.<\/p>\n
Suggested Supply List for Math Core Classes:<\/b><\/p>\n Daily Expectations: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.<\/strong> Our classrooms are protected environments!\u00a0 This means that students will respect everyone, treat them kindly and follow the student code of conduct.\u00a0 All students will participate in the Positive Behavior Intervention System established at Bryant Middle School.\u00a0 Bully behavior will NOT be tolerated. They are a part of their identification as a student at Bryant Middle School. Parents must sign<\/u> the original (Low) test, before an alternative assignment\/project can be completed with course work completed by the student.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Homework<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Practicing and reviewing material taught in class is vital to student’s success. Every student should strive to complete classwork\/homework assignments on time. Late work should be the exception and not the norm. If late work becomes a pattern, an intervention might be necessary. Late or missing work must be turned before the summative assessment.\u00a0Late\/missing work will not be accepted the last week of the marking period.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Attendance<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n In order for your child to be as successful as they possibly can be, I encourage them to be present (both physically and mentally) every day to prevent falling behind. Every lesson builds on the day prior so daily attendance and a healthy breakfast are essential. If a student misses a day due to illness (or other excused reason) they need to check the blog for what they missed and see me immediately.
