{"id":2096,"date":"2019-06-14T14:25:40","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T18:25:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/makowsk1\/?p=2096"},"modified":"2019-06-14T14:25:40","modified_gmt":"2019-06-14T18:25:40","slug":"a-message-from-the-principal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/makowsk1\/2019\/06\/14\/a-message-from-the-principal\/","title":{"rendered":"A message from the principal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gs\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div id=\":nx\" class=\"ii gt\">\n<div id=\":nw\" class=\"a3s aXjCH \">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>June 14, 2019<\/p>\n<p>Dear Snow Families,<\/p>\n<p>This year has flown by so quickly!<\/p>\n<p>Our staff, our students, our PTA and our parent community have been so helpful.\u00a0 We are so very proud of our school and have truly enjoyed the partnership and positive collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Each child is precious and each face is loved and cared for by all of us.\u00a0 When your child succeeds, we are so thrilled, and when he\/she struggles, we work together as a team to improve the situation.<\/p>\n<p>We have done our best to make this year a year of growth, higher achievement and a safe and happy environment for all.\u00a0 Teachers are working to increase the rigor in instruction while differentiating for students as needed, we have implemented PlayWorks to develop sportsmanship and social skills and we have started Unified to support inclusion and leadership. We are happy to report that our hard work has paid off!\u00a0 Our Snow Overall School Index Score as reported by the state of Michigan has climbed from 72.58 to 92.63!\u00a0 Snow is soaring!<\/p>\n<p>To help our students continue to make progress and avoid summer loss, we are asking all Snow students to read over the summer and practice math.
