{"id":2283,"date":"2020-02-04T10:54:20","date_gmt":"2020-02-04T15:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/majetic\/?p=2283"},"modified":"2020-02-04T13:53:51","modified_gmt":"2020-02-04T18:53:51","slug":"this-week-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/majetic\/2020\/02\/04\/this-week-16\/","title":{"rendered":"This Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Classroom Events<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Late Start Wednesday<\/li><li>4th Grade End of Module 4 Assessment, Thursday 2\/6<\/li><li>PTA Meeting 3:45 pm, Thursday 2\/6<\/li><li>Detroit Science Center Field Trip, Friday 2\/7<\/li><li>Valentine&#8217;s Movie Night 6:30 pm, Friday 2\/7<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Curriculum:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Math:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>5th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will continue to multiply and divide fractions.<\/li><li><strong>4th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will finish up Module 4 and begin Module 5, which will be fractions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Reading<\/strong><\/em><strong><em> <\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>5th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will quote directly from a literary text to support inferences made about it and to better understand the text.<\/li><li><strong>4th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will use details and examples in literary texts to make and support inferences.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Writing \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>Students will begin a new PBW in preparation for MStep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Social Studies:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>4th Grade<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Students will begin a unit on our Federal Government.<\/li><li><strong>5th Grade<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Students will be joining Mr. DeSantis\u2019 class for Social Studies this year.\u00a0 <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Science:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>4th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong> Students continue studying \u201cWaves of Sound\u201d.
