{"id":2252,"date":"2020-01-15T14:12:12","date_gmt":"2020-01-15T19:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/majetic\/?p=2252"},"modified":"2020-01-15T14:30:02","modified_gmt":"2020-01-15T19:30:02","slug":"this-week-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/majetic\/2020\/01\/15\/this-week-13\/","title":{"rendered":"This Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Classroom Events<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>NWEA testing continues this week<\/li><li>Skate Night Thursday<\/li><li>1\/2 Day Friday, January 17th, 11:45 Dismissal<\/li><li>MLK Day, No School Monday, January 20th <\/li><li>5th Grade Solar System Test, Thursday, January 30th <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Curriculum:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Math:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>5th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students will continue to add and subtract mixed number fractions with unlike denominators, assess the reasonableness of their answer, and solve multi-step word problems.<\/li><li><strong>4th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students are measuring and drawing angles using a protractor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Reading :<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5th Grade:<\/strong> Students will identify the theme of a drama using details collected about the characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4th Grade:<\/strong> Students will better understand a story by drawing details from the setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Writing \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>Students are working to complete an M-Step Field Test which will provide them with invaluable experience on taking the M-Step Test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Social Studies:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>4th Grade<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013  Students are examining movement of people in the United States by examining Pushes and Pulls.<\/li><li><strong>5th Grade<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Students will be joining Mr. DeSantis\u2019 class for Social Studies this year.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Science:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>4th Grade \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Students have begun &#8220;Waves of Sound&#8221;.
