{"id":1812,"date":"2015-10-09T14:23:22","date_gmt":"2015-10-09T18:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/lytlek\/?p=1812"},"modified":"2015-10-09T14:23:55","modified_gmt":"2015-10-09T18:23:55","slug":"battle-against-hunger-food-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/lytlek\/2015\/10\/09\/battle-against-hunger-food-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Battle Against Hunger Food Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Rival schools compete for charity in inaugural event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Next\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_32514823\">Friday, October 16<\/span>, we&#8217;ll be battling Dearborn on the football field.\u00a0 But we&#8217;re also taking them on off the field.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the <strong>&#8220;Battle Against\u00a0Hunger.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was a challenge issued to our administrators and student government by School life, and we accepted! The school that collects the most canned and non-perishable food items to donate to Gleaners Food bank wins.<\/p>\n<p>Starting\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_32514824\">Monday, October 12th<\/span>, we ask ALL bring canned goods to school and drop them off in the collection boxes at the school entrances.\u00a0 Food donations will be collected all week and at the game\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_32514825\">NEXT FRIDAY<\/span> AT DEARBORN HIGH.\u00a0 The winner will be announced at half time of the game.<\/p>\n<p>Fordson is known for its food drives- and this is no exception.
