{"id":519,"date":"2018-05-18T08:40:05","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T12:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/lough9\/?page_id=519"},"modified":"2018-05-18T08:44:46","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T12:44:46","slug":"retake-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/lough9\/retake-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Retake Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Fordson High School &#8211; Retake Guidelines<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Summative Assessment Retakes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only one retake per summative assessment is permitted.<\/li>\n<li>The higher score is the score of record.<\/li>\n<li>Students must follow the retake process established in the respective school, but each process should include the following:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">1. A written request by the student, including an explanation for requesting the retake<br \/>\n2. The student\u2019s demonstration of effort to attain mastery learning, which might include test corrections, caught-up homework<br \/>\n3. The teacher\u2019s approval for retake following 1 and 2 above<br \/>\n4. The student\u2019s arranging with the teacher for a retake<br \/>\n5. Completion of the retake within a reasonable time frame, e.g. within 2 weeks of the original summative assessment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retakes may be in a different format from the original summative assessment.<\/li>\n<li>End-of-semester exams cannot be retaken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If a student cheats on a test, the student cannot retake the test.<\/li>\n<li>A reasonable attempt is made on the original test.<\/li>\n<li>If a student does not show up for a scheduled retake time and\/or date, another retake opportunity will not be scheduled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This form must be completed by the student: <a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/lough9\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2186\/2018\/05\/Retake-Request-Form_Fordson.doc\">Retake Request Form_Fordson<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fordson High School &#8211; Retake Guidelines Summative Assessment Retakes Only one retake per summative assessment is permitted.
