Send me your picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Very Hungry Caterpillar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar again today!   Remember this is one of our books that we would have read 4 times in class.  When children read and listen to stories repeatedly it helps them to recognize words, and improves their ability to remember details from the story. Today we have the animated version of the story book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/kMjTKNoZn_o\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Count the number of things the caterpillar ate during the story. Write that number 5 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Planning Time (5 minutes):&nbsp;<\/strong>Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kids will tell you what they are planning to do\/want to play with\/how they will use toys at home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Work Time (45-60 minutes):<\/strong>&nbsp;During work time kids play&nbsp;<strong>WITHOUT ELECTRONICS<\/strong>.&nbsp; Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clean Up (about 15 minutes):<\/strong>&nbsp; Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recall<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Time (5 minutes):\u00a0<\/strong>Build your child\u2019s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask \u201ctell me how you did that\u201d or \u201cwhat did you do next?\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Movement Activity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Try to get outside it you can.
