Your students are awesome authors! \u00a0I’m sure you will enjoy your child’s story! We have been working on adding voice to our stories by using dialogue, sound words, snapshots, thoughtshots, similes, and “suddenly”. \u00a0The bags coming home this week have a barebook, About the Author page with Dedication Page on the back of it, and directions. \u00a0Please return the bag on Tuesday, April 12 \u00a0with the \u00a0title page, dedication page,story, and About the Author page typed and pasted in it. \u00a0Also return their original draft. \u00a0Please don’t send in the items without the bag.<\/p>\n
In addition, return in the bag another copy of the story so that it may be submitted for the Brainstormer story. \u00a0I have edited the story with your child. \u00a0If words were added by me, they are words that your student dictated to me to add.<\/p>\n
Also, please send in a box of colored pencils in the bag for your student to use on the cover and to do illustrations.<\/p>\n
I am sending them home after I have had a chance to edit with your child and I can’t do them all in one day. \ud83d\ude42 Some are still writing \u00a0their stories.<\/p>\n
