Today your child is bringing home the reading log that is due next Thursday, March 5. \u00a0The reading log is the same one that we have been using, however, there is a summary form on the back. \u00a0We have been working on summaries in class, and it is an important skill. \u00a0On the summary sheet, your child needs to summarize one picture book or one chapter from a chapter book. \u00a0Listed on the side of the summary, are the items needed to include in each part. \u00a0In addition to working on reading skills, the written summary will provide more writing practice. \u00a0Have your child reread the writing to you and lead your child as needed to the correct capitalization, punctuation, spelling, etc. \u00a0Encourage your child to use the book as a resource to help spell some of the words needed. \u00a0Thank you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
