Your child is bringing home today the Science Fair Boot Camp materials that include a packet of directions, examples, and a data sheet. \u00a0Also in the bag are the test tubes, nails, and a plastic cup. \u00a0All the directions and procedures have been discussed with your child. We discussed other possible clear liquids, and we discussed words that may be used on the data sheets. We talked about ideas for the question and how to write the hypothesis. Be sure to have your child determine the question and the hypothesis before gathering data. \u00a0Remind your child to complete the data sheets in pencil first before adding color when needed. \u00a0Your child will make 4 observations. \u00a0 The data needs to be edited for correct spelling, etc. as it will be displayed. \u00a0Remember that the lids may not be removed once the liquids have been added. There are no extra materials, so \u00a0remind your child to be careful with them. \u00a0The display boards will be sent home next week.Thanks to all who have turned in the science fair donation. \u00a0Please send in your donation when possible if you haven’t yet. \u00a0Happy experimenting!<\/p>\n
