{"id":5379,"date":"2021-06-11T08:54:37","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T12:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/logelp4\/?p=5379"},"modified":"2021-06-11T08:54:38","modified_gmt":"2021-06-11T12:54:38","slug":"covid-vaccine-clinic-at-william-ford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/logelp4\/2021\/06\/11\/covid-vaccine-clinic-at-william-ford\/","title":{"rendered":"Covid Vaccine Clinic at William Ford"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>William Ford Elementary&nbsp;<\/strong>will host another district&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccination event on June 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students, parents and community members are invited to schedule an appointment.&nbsp; Shots will be available from&nbsp;<strong>8 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;that day.&nbsp; The second dose will be offered on<strong>&nbsp;July 8.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;The Pfizer vaccine will be offered, which can be administered to anyone age 12 or older.&nbsp; Anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent or guardian with them to get the shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Appointments can be made through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfoxalD0stQ6_DbBmvb3oaCKu9beEauvw8rb0khXMx5ndzdBw\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">registration link<\/a>.&nbsp; (There is also an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScm7I2xXnU8bg1faAPNwUv81gN4_bgIGhdsVEzCWj7IWp5mWQ\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arabic registration form.<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If space is available, walk-ins will also be accepted that day, but making an appointment ensures you will receive a vaccine.&nbsp; The&nbsp;vaccinations&nbsp;are being provided by Walmart.&nbsp; Those who cannot return to the school for the second dose on July 8 can get it through the Dearborn or Livonia Walmarts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>William Ford Elementary is at 14749 Alber St., next to Chase and Ford roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dearborn Public Schools plans to start the new school year on Aug. 30th with students attending class in schools all day every day.&nbsp; Vaccination clinics are being offered for families who would like to receive a&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccination before students return to daily classes in school.&nbsp; This vaccination clinic would allow students 12 years of age and older to be fully vaccinated before August.&nbsp; Practice for fall sports at the middle and high schools also starts in August, providing another reason to encourage eligible and willing students to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents should bring their ID and insurance card, but&nbsp;vaccinations&nbsp;will be offered for free for those without insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the district understands parents have a personal choice when it comes to the wellbeing of their child, Dearborn Public Schools strongly feels that all methods to slow the spread of&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;19, including&nbsp;vaccinations, are the best way to promote overall health and safety in our community and the surest path to a return to in-person learning for all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those with questions can contact the Superintendent\u2019s office at (313) 827-3020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oakman.dearbornschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/125\/2021\/06\/Screenshot-2021-06-11-085148.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19437\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>William Ford Elementary&nbsp;will host another district&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccination event on June 17.
