I hope everyone is still remembering to get outside for fresh air every day. But I also know that my boys have been enjoying riding their bikes up and and playing around our house. I know it&#8217;s hard when it snows in April but it is still super important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For today, I am including a story we have read in class before that is also a rhyming story called \u201cIs Your Mama a Llama\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S-p5rjIuyNE?feature=oembed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For today\u2019s activity, have your child watch the story. When the story is over, they can make a picture of the people in their family. Talk with your child about what is the same and what is different about the people in their picture. For example, in my family myself, Quintin and Aurora have brown hair.  While Mrs. Liepe, Xaiver and Bruce have blonde hair. Also 4 of us have brown eyes and Mrs. Liepe and Bruce have blue eyes. Be sure to keep using descriptive words like \u201csame\u201d and \u201cdifferent\u201d as you and your child talk about their picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When finished, please write down what your child said is the same or different on their picture, take a pic of their picture and send it to me at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:Liepeb@dearbornschools.org\" target=\"_blank\">Liepeb@dearbornschools.org<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I LOVE being able to see the children\u2019s pictures\u2026 faces\u2026 drawings and everything else you have all been sending. They brighten my day. Thank you for continuing to help your kids while schools are closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since this is long term I am going to have everyone add an easy piece to the children&#8217;s daily routine, Plan, Do, Review. A couple times a day when the children are going to play start by asking them what their plan is, some examples are; What they will play with? What they are going to do with it? Who they might play with? How hey are going to use it? Then when they are done ask them to recall. Have them tell you details of the play activity they did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Practice Writing.<\/li><li>Practice Reading.<\/li><li>Playing outside (social distanced) (ABC fit kids using 2 family members names or Cosmic Kids Yoga, CosmicKids.com ).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to get a hold of me I can still be reached by email Liepeb@dearbornschools.org or you can call my classroom number (3-827-7238) and leave a message, they go to my email. If I call back it will come from an unknown or unavailable number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I need to hear from everyone via comment here of the best time of day for your family on Wednesdays. I want to try and setup a quick virtual check-in so we can ALL see other. The 4 times I am looking at are 10am, 11am, noon, or 1pm<\/strong>. We will do our best to accommodate most.
