This week brings us to the final week of the marking period.By this point you should have completed one book! By the end of the week you will need to have \u00a0written an exit ticket and given a book talk. On Friday you will write \u00a0your literary letter and figure out \u00a0your reading rate for Card Marking 1 (CM 1). ( See expectations from the handout “All You Ever Needed to Know About SSR”). \u00a0Your grades are being entered into Mi-Star so you can verify what you completed but will not be marked as checked until Friday since that is when it all due by. This means your grade doesn’t reflect those scores until then.<\/p>\n
In class,we will be wrapping up our unit on Argumentative Reading and Writing by \u00a0having a debate and creating public service ads based on our readings about “Typhoid Mary” and “Yellow Fever”.<\/p>\n
There will be \u00a0a quiz make-up for those that had a 6 or lower on the Argumentative Reading and Writing Quiz. It will be held in RM 53 at 7:30 on Thursday, Oct. 13th.<\/p>\n
