This week, we learned about letter H. We practiced making the letter H with wiki sticks. As we made the letter, we practiced making the letter sound H makes. Furthermore, we wrote about things that start with letter H in our writing journals (examples: hat, hippo, hamburger, house, and more!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hattie Horse Alphafriend Song (with Lyrics)\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xl08ABDO9qY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We also started learning motion and movement by exploring roller coasters. First, we read a book about roller coasters. We read, \u201cRoller Coaster,\u201d by Marla Frazee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/61aPl5-y+eL.jpg\" alt=\"Roller Coaster: Frazee, Marla: 9780152057442: Amazon.com: Books\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As the students read the book, they talked about what roller coasters need (example: tracks, tunnels, roller coaster trains, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students pretended to ride a roller coaster by pretending to ride Koo Koo Kangaroo\u2019s roller coaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Koo Koo Kanga Roo - Rollercoaster\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4jxqSHOad18?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The students made a blueprint to build a roller coaster. They worked together during Writing Time and drew a plan to build a roller coaster. They included tracks, tunnels, and a roller coaster train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last, it was time to build a roller coaster!
