For those of you who have already done this, thank you! I have been logging in to see what the kids have been doing and how far they have been going. Here are the steps\/instructions for how to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>visit the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.happynumbers.com\">http:\/\/www.happynumbers.com<\/a><\/li><li>Click &#8220;I&#8217;m a student&#8221;<\/li><li>Enter the class code which is 451891<\/li><li>Find your child&#8217;s name and click it<\/li><li>Enter their password: which is their first name<\/li><li>DONE!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a reminder of the daily screen free schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><br>5 to 10 Minutes<\/td><td><strong>Plan for Work Time (playtime):<\/strong>&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school.&nbsp; It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Kids will tell you what they are planning to do\/want to play with\/how they will use toys at home.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>1 hr.<\/td><td>Work time\/Kids play <strong>WITHOUT ELECTRONICS<\/strong>&nbsp; Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>15 min<\/td><td>Clean Up:&nbsp; Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing. If you notice your child making too big of a mess during play, it\u2019s ok to remind them to clean up what they have already finished using before they move on to the next part of their plan.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>5 to 10 min&nbsp;<\/td><td>Recall:&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask \u201ctell me how you did that\u201d or \u201cwhat did you do next?\u201d)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Lunch&nbsp;<\/td><td>Prepare lunch: have your child help you prepare lunch.&nbsp; They can help with cooking\/setting table- whatever seems appropriate for the meal time.&nbsp;At school the children normally assist with putting plates and utensils on the table as well as scooping their own food onto their plates and passing the food bowls to one another.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">For the Kids:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Language, Literacy &amp; Communication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we are going to rainbow write our letter Ss.  First, you can watch this video to help you remember how to make the letter S.  While you&#8217;re watching the video, use your pointer finger to write the letter S either in the air, or on the ground.  After the video is over, get some paper and as many different colored pens, markers or crayons as you can find and write as many letter S&#8217;s as you can.  Take a picture of your colorful letter S and send them to Mrs. Laurus on Remind. Today we are going to make these binoculars to help us have some fun with pretending &#8211; just like you enjoy doing in the house area!   All you need is two toilet paper rolls (or a paper towel tube cut in half by a grown up) and either tape&#8230; or some rubberbands to hold them together. Look at these pictures for an example. That&#8217;s ok! Yesterday you found things around your house that starts with the letter S &#8211; like socks, shoes, sandals, stars, sailboats and more.  Today, I want you to use your binoculars to find words in print with the letter S.  You might find the letter S on pieces of mail that have been delivered to your house, in books you have, on food boxes\/containers in your refrigerator or cupboard etc&#8230;  Every time you find a letter S, make a dot or a tally mark on a piece of paper.  When you&#8217;re finished with your S hunt, count how many dots or tally marks you made and write that number.  That&#8217;s how many S&#8217;s you found today!  Take a picture of your paper and send it to Mrs. Laurus on Remind.
