This is due to inappropriate behavior that occured with middle school students. I will keep you posted with more information on the situation as it becomes available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a reminder of the schedule to follow to make sure your child is also having time WITHOUT screens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><br>5 to 10 Minutes<\/td><td><strong>Plan for Work Time (playtime):<\/strong>&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school.&nbsp; It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Kids will tell you what they are planning to do\/want to play with\/how they will use toys at home.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>1 hr.<\/td><td>Work time\/Kids play <strong>WITHOUT ELECTRONICS<\/strong>&nbsp; Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>15 min<\/td><td>Clean Up:&nbsp; Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing. If you notice your child making too big of a mess during play, it\u2019s ok to remind them to clean up what they have already finished using before they move on to the next part of their plan.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><br>5 to 10 min&nbsp;<\/td><td>Recall:&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask \u201ctell me how you did that\u201d or \u201cwhat did you do next?\u201d)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Lunch&nbsp;<\/td><td>Prepare lunch: have your child help you prepare lunch.&nbsp; They can help with cooking\/setting table- whatever seems appropriate for the meal time.&nbsp;At school the children normally assist with putting plates and utensils on the table as well as scooping their own food onto their plates and passing the food bowls to one another.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">For Kids:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Language, Literacy &amp; Communication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have pre recorded two videos for you to watch today.  The first video is Greeting Time:   In our Greeting Time video today, you will hear me talk about our video calls and our new letter of the week. In my backyard, I have a lot of yellow dandelion flowers popping up everywhere! (I am going to be working on getting rid of them soon.)
