I hope you enjoyed your summer and are ready to begin an exciting new year at Nowlin Elementary School!<\/p>\n<p>My name is Mrs. Laila Taite and I\u00a0am thrilled to be a part of the Nowlin team! This year is going to be a year filled with lots of learning and many new adventures. I am extremely excited to be working with you and your child this year!<\/p>\n<p>I became a highly qualified teacher by earning my Bachelor\u2019s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Michigan \u2013 Dearborn with a focus on Language Arts and English as a Second Language. I received my Master\u2019s degree in special education with a focus on Autism from Oakland University. I worked with second grade students during my student teaching and taught at a pre-school for two years. I taught second grade for two years at a previous school, first and second graders at Nowlin for a year and then I made the switch to special education. This is my third year teaching students with autism and I couldn\u2019t be more thrilled!
