Time has been flying by very quickly!\u00a0 We have this week and one more week before Winter Break begins!\u00a0 Please make sure you pay attention to the calendar, iblog and Remind updates about events that will be taking place before the holiday.<\/h4>\n

What We Are Learning\u2026<\/span><\/h4>\n

Names-<\/span>
\nWe are learning to recognize the letters in our name and the order the letters go in. Please continue to practice recognizing the letters in your child\u2019s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a). If your child knows the letters in their name and the order they go in, please continue working on writing their name. The first letter in their name is the only letter to be a capital, all the rest are lowercase (Rajaa).<\/h4>\n

Letters-<\/span>
\nAs our letter journey continues, we will learn 2 more letters this week. Students will learn to identify the letters, the sound, recognize the letter in print and write the letter on their own. Please make sure you are checking the blog for updates so you can help work with your child at home. Don\u2019t forget to practice previously learned letters.<\/h4>\n

Shapes-<\/span><\/h4>\n

We are continuing to learn shapes!\u00a0 Please talk with your child about what makes up each shape (sides, corners) and talk about how shapes can come in different sizes and still be the same shape.<\/h4>\n

Oval (no sides\/ no corners)<\/h4>\n

Pentagon (5 sides)<\/h4>\n

Circle (no sides\/ no corners),\u00a0Square (4 equal sides\/ 4 corners),\u00a0Triangle (3 sides\/ 3 corners),\u00a0Rectangle (4 sides- 2 long, 2 short\/ 4 corners)<\/h4>\n

Reminders-<\/span><\/h4>\n

Please make sure you continue to dress your child for the weather!\u00a0 It has been quite cold when we are outside so make sure your child has a heavy jacket, hat, gloves\/ mittens and a scarf.\u00a0 Please remind your child to place gloves inside their hat and the hat in their sleeve when at school.\u00a0 This helps to avoid losing our winter gear.\u00a0 We love to be outside and explore when the weather permits!<\/h4>\n
