Sometimes the forts were small and simple, and sometimes they took up half of our basement. We even built forts outside using fences, trees, swingsets and lots of sheets &amp; blankets. I want to thank their for supervising this cool experiment and making sure the boys were safe!<br><br>STEP 1: Gather the materials that you see in the first photo<br>STEP 2: Fill the bottom of the bowl with water<br>STEP 3: Add a few drops of food coloring. Then mark the water level with a crayon or marker.<br>STEP 4: Put a wax candle in the middle of the bowl<br>STEP 5: Have an adult help you light the candle<br>STEP 6: Put a glass over the candle<br>STEP 7: Observe and record what happens<br>* What do you notice about the water level?<br>* What do you notice about the candle?<br>STEP 8: Try the experiment with 2 candles. If they don\u2019t have a fever, they are given a sticker with the date on it, so others can see that they are okay.<br><br>A PROBLEM WITH THIS SOLUTION is: the stickers get caught up in people\u2019s hair and\/or fall off their clothes. They then fall on the ground and need to be removed.<br><br>CAN YOU FIND A BETTER SOLUTION? Design something to help us tell whether someone has a fever or is feeling unwell.<br><br>Check out Hussein&#8217;s idea then, they try to come up with your own idea.
