This week, we will focus on learning to use the headings, table of contents, and glossary. We will also look at the pictures and words in informational books.  We will use the information in the pictures and words to gather key details about a topic.<\/p>\n<p>Math: We will be learning about fact families this week. Every addition sentence has two subtraction sentences that match. For example, 2+4=6 is the addition sentence that matches 6-4=2 and 6-2=4. The six is the whole and the 2 and 4 are the parts. We will also continue to solve addition and subtraction word problems by counting on, using a number line, or using illustrations. <\/p>\n<p>Science: We are learning about the changes in the sky and weather patterns. We are creating graphs with weather, temperature, and daylight information to interpret patterns in the weather.<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies: We are learning that all families are different and have their own set of traditions, rituals, rules and cultures.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week and please look for your conference reminder in your child&#8217;s folder \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families!
