I cannot believe it is February!! This year is going by so fast and it’s so awesome watching your children learn and grow. Here are some things that we will be learning about in the next few weeks:<\/p>\n
Reading: Continue to read with your child each evening. They should be using the pictures and stretching the words when they are stuck.<\/p>\n
Writing: We will be writing “How-To” informational pieces such as “How to Make a Pizza,” “How to play Tag,” etc. <\/p>\n
Social Studies: We will be learning how to read and make simple maps. We will learn that places with addresses have “absolute locations.” Additionally, we will learn the difference between human (buildings, playgrounds, racetracks, houses) and physical (trees, oceans, hills, desserts) characteristics.<\/p>\n
Science: We are continuing to learn about the importance of the sun, reasons for seasons, and weather.<\/p>\n
Math: Please continue to practice telling time (now to the quarter hour, and minute (as a challenge) and counting money.<\/p>\n
