Monday: Care to the Core event. We will be planting seeds outside at some point, so please have your child dress appropriately for some light gardening \ud83d\ude42 Make sure they wear their Miller shirts!<\/p>\n
Reading and Writing: We are learning to use a “double bubble thinking map” to record similarities and differences between two texts about the same topic. We are also continuing to look for information using the text features in nonfiction books. I am working on typing their animal reports so that they can share them with one another and look for similarities and differences between the animals that they researched. <\/p>\n
Math: We are adding and subtracting ten mentally to two-digit numbers. We are also learning to add two digit numbers with different strategies such as breaking apart the numbers, drawing the tens and ones, and using base ten blocks.<\/p>\n
Science: We will be planting wheat seeds in a straw to see if they germinate.<\/p>\n
