Classwork, bell work, and participation count for a smaller portion of the grade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homework is given when classwork is not completed.\u00a0 Reading, writing, listening, and speaking will occur daily in class. Student participation and engagement on a daily basis are essential to student success.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assignments not completed in class will be required homework and due within a week. Late assignments will be given a reduced grade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assessments will be given throughout the course of study to determine the individual student&#8217;s development, as well as, the effectiveness of the teaching\/learning environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reminder: Students who are frequently absent miss valuable instructional time, and often struggle in their classes.
