{"id":204,"date":"2019-03-10T20:51:35","date_gmt":"2019-03-11T00:51:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/khzouza\/?p=204"},"modified":"2019-03-10T20:51:35","modified_gmt":"2019-03-11T00:51:35","slug":"february-week-3-and-4-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/khzouza\/2019\/03\/10\/february-week-3-and-4-update\/","title":{"rendered":"February Week 3 and 4 Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students conducted an experiment on photosynthesis. \u00a0Prior to the experiement we studied vocabulary for key terms such as<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>chlorophyll<\/li>\n<li>density<\/li>\n<li>photosynthesis<\/li>\n<li>vacuum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students created a vocabulary wheel on each word. \u00a0Students had to include the term, definition, and a picture example.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the lab students learned how plants need carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight energy to create glucose (food) and oxygen. \u00a0Students understood that if you were to vacuum out the carbon dioxide gas from spinach leafs in the lab that the leafs would sink.
