{"id":195,"date":"2019-01-24T11:13:05","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T16:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/khzouza\/?p=195"},"modified":"2019-01-24T11:13:05","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T16:13:05","slug":"january-week-4-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/khzouza\/2019\/01\/24\/january-week-4-update\/","title":{"rendered":"January Week 4 Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Hornets!<\/p>\n<p>Monday-No School MLK Day.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday- Students had a half day therefore we had science for 20 minutes.\u00a0 During those 20 minutes we were able to have a sneak peak of the new unit.\u00a0 We started off with bellwork for the new unit called &#8220;Matter and Energy in Organisms and Ecosystems Part 1&#8221;.\u00a0 We observed the chemical equations for cellular respiration and photosynthesis and compared the two.\u00a0 We realized that the two chemical equations were the same but reversed which must mean that it goes in a constant never ending cycle.\u00a0 After we watched a 4 minute video on cellular respiration and photosynthesis, then had a class discussion on what we learned as well as connecting it to previous learning.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday-Snow\/Ice Day! School canceled.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday-Friday Science NWEA.\u00a0 Students are testing all hour at a level 0 voice.\u00a0 Students are recommended to have a good night&#8217;s sleep and a healthy breakfast to get the brain working at its best!<\/p>\n<p>Next week will resume normal schedule and students will continue with the new unit in science.\u00a0 Come prepared with all materials to class!<\/p>\n<p>Stay warm and safe!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Hornets!
