Recorders <\/strong>\u2013 ALL 3rd graders will be learning recorder this year and should have turned in money for the recorder. Please let Mrs. Reed know if you need help paying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Star of the week<\/strong> \u2013 Anna will be star of the week starting on November 13th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminder \u2013 No School – November 22-26th – Thanksgiving Break<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are publishing a book!!! <\/strong>\u2013 We have finished our book!! Only 2 days left until we hit submit to the publisher! Only 2 days left to order your copy, if you are interested! Our publication date is November 14th. Students get so excited about becoming a published author! Here is the link <\/a>to the letter explaining how to order their new book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ELA <\/strong>\u2013 Our next unit called Government for the People<\/a>. In the next 3 weeks we will be reading informational text about Government and completing page 11, 19 and 27 in our magazines. Our spelling and grammar pamphlet is Unit 3 Week 1<\/a> \u2013 Spelling \u2013 r-Controlled vowels ar, or, Grammar \u2013 Irregular Verbs. Here is the spelling practice U3W1 Spelling Practice<\/a>. This week we are ar and or words in spelling. I will make copies for 4 of the pages for practice, students should be practicing at home also. Please have your student read everyday for 20 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday <\/strong>\u2013 Please return the lesson 12 homework and the Unit 2 Topic B Study guide<\/a> \u2013 Please complete and RETURN <\/strong>the Topic B study guide. I will go over the study guide answers on Monday for our quiz Monday Here are the answers <\/a>to help your child understand, don\u2019t just show them the answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
