{"id":5447,"date":"2019-02-19T18:03:54","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T23:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/?p=5447"},"modified":"2019-02-19T18:03:54","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T23:03:54","slug":"class-news-160","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/2019\/02\/19\/class-news-160\/","title":{"rendered":"Class News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Science Quiz tomorrow<\/strong> &#8211; there are activities on Google Classroom to help you study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Trip slip<\/strong> &#8211; due by Friday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lego Club Session 2 begins on Friday<\/strong> after school the following students are signed up: Julia, Mohamed, Ahmad B, and Addie.\u00a0 Dates are 2\/22, 3\/1, 3\/8, 3\/15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brain Stormers Assembly &#8211; tomorrow at 9 AM.<\/strong>\u00a0 I need to be at a Science Leader&#8217;s meeting in the AM so if you get any good please share them on Class Dojo or share with me and I&#8217;ll share them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Box Tops &#8211;<\/strong> During the last week of February, the PTA will be collecting Box Tops!\u00a0 Send in your box tops in a sealed Ziploc bag with your child\u2019s grade on it.\u00a0 The class with the largest donation will earn a pizza lunch party!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book Swap &#8211;<\/strong> To prepare for March Reading Month, we will be hosting a Book Swap on March 1st!\u00a0 During the last week of February, students will be asked to send in gently used books to donate to the swap.\u00a0 PTA members will set up a one-day-only library in Room 104, and on Friday, March 1st, each class will be invited to come to the swap and fill a bag with \u201cnew\u201d used books to bring home!\u00a0 Any books left over will be donated to the school library or a charity of choice.<\/p>\n<p><i><strong>Teacher of the Year Nominations<\/strong> &#8211; Dearborn Public Schools is proud to again be working with the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2019 Alberta Muirhead\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Teacher<\/span>\u00a0of the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Year<\/span>\u00a0awards.\u00a0 Students can nomination their favorite\u00a0<span class=\"il\">teacher<\/span>\u00a0by March 8 to receive this special recognition.\u00a0 \u00a0Click <a href=\"https:\/\/dearbornschools.org\/\">here<\/a> to go the the DPS website and fill out the form online for your favorite teacher.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Science Quiz tomorrow &#8211; there are activities on Google Classroom to help you study.
