Bike –<\/strong> We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Dearborn Lodge #172 for the generous donation of two bicycles for a program called Bikes for Books. Student\u2019s who participated in the March is Reading Month program had their names entered into a drawing to win one of the bikes. On Tuesday, May 1, a drawing took place.\u00a0 Congratulations to Ahmed Ebra and Luna Britt for all your reading and for having your name drawn to win the bikes!<\/p>\n

Color Run – Tuesday 2:50<\/strong>– Please make sure your student has returned their permission slip so they are able to participate.\u00a0 Students will be going home after the run and will not be returning into the building.\u00a0 If they are staying for Kids Club or Tutoring you might want to send a change of clothing.\u00a0 Kids usually wear a white t-shirt so you can see all their colors.<\/p>\n

Book Swap Tuesday<\/strong> – 3:00<\/p>\n

MSTEP<\/strong> – We will be taking the MSTEP math section on Tuesday and Thursday this week.\u00a0 Please make sure that your child gets a good night sleep and eats a good (not sugar) breakfast.\u00a0 Please make sure the continue to practice on MobyMax they should do Test prep and Fact fluency.\u00a0 \u00a0This will help with both tests.<\/p>\n

NWEA<\/strong> – We will be doing the NWEA on\u00a0\u00a05\/15, 5\/17, 5\/22, 5\/24.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Please make sure that your child gets a good night sleep and eats a good (not sugar) breakfast.<\/p>\n

Teacher Appreciation week-<\/strong>\u00a0 The PTA has planned a wonderful week for the teachers.\u00a0 A paper went home last week with the activities for each day.\u00a0 Thank you in advance for all the wonderful activities that are planned.\u00a0 Here is what the paper said in case you need it:<\/p>\n

Monday – 5\/7 – Staff Breakfast<\/strong> – Yum!<\/p>\n

Tuesday – 5\/8 – Sweet supplies<\/strong> – Students bring in needed school supplies for your teacher – Our class always needs sharpened pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, colored and\/or white card stock, plastic sheet protectors.<\/p>\n

Wednesday – 5\/9 – Colors and Sports<\/strong> – Students wear their teacher’s favorite color or sports team – My favorite color is purple and U of M is my favorite team since Elizabeth goes there.<\/p>\n

Thursday – 5\/10 – Words from the Heart<\/strong> – Students bring in Thank you card, picture, letter or flowers for your teacher.\u00a0 This is my FAVORITE day!\u00a0 I LOVE flowers!\u00a0 The cards and letters always make me smile!<\/p>\n

Friday – 5\/11 Complimentary Lunch<\/strong> – Each family please send in $5 to provide the staff with a delicious lunch!<\/p>\n
