New Student –<\/strong> We had a new student start yesterday.\u00a0 His name is Mohammed and he is a 3rd grader from River Oaks.\u00a0 Please make him feel welcome.<\/p>\n

Class Student Number<\/strong> – You might have notice a number in the upper right hand corner of your students papers.\u00a0 I do this to help identify paper that students forget to write their names.\u00a0 Because we have a new student and it is still close to the beginning of the year, we are changing all the students number in my class and in 3rd grade math.\u00a0 This might cause a little confusion the first week with people getting thee wrong papers.\u00a0 If you get any papers that are not your student’s papers please return them to school.<\/p>\n

2nd Grade Social Studies quiz-<\/strong>2nd Graders will have a Social studies quiz near the end of this week on Thursday or Friday.\u00a0 They will be quizzed on the material from Studies Weekly Week 18 – Government.\u00a0 They can review this material online, by going to StudiesWeekly.com<\/a>, log in is FirstLast name, password First name.<\/p>\n

3rd Grade Fire Fighter visit\/field trip<\/strong> – This week the 3rd graders will have a visit on Wednesday from a fire fighter to discuss fire safety.\u00a0\u00a0 Next week on Tuesday, October 4th the 3rd graders will be visiting the Fire Smoke House.\u00a0 They will get to practice what to do if there were a real fire.\u00a0\u00a0 If you would like to chaperone please have your papers completed with the office.\u00a0 If your child has asthma please indicate that when the permission slip comes home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
