{"id":4170,"date":"2016-09-18T15:57:23","date_gmt":"2016-09-18T19:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/?p=4170"},"modified":"2016-09-18T15:57:23","modified_gmt":"2016-09-18T19:57:23","slug":"class-news-39","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/2016\/09\/18\/class-news-39\/","title":{"rendered":"Class News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NWEA Testing <\/strong>&#8211; We will be testing on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 3rd Grade.\u00a0\u00a0 2nd Grade will test only on Monday and Wednesday.\u00a0 Please be sure your child is well rested and well fed (protien not sugar) on testing days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Studies Quiz<\/strong> &#8211; Both 2nd and 3rd Graders will have a social studies quiz on Tuesday.\u00a0\u00a0 Please log into Studies Weekly and reread all the material to review.\u00a0\u00a0 Here is a study guide with additional information for the 2nd graders, you will only need page 1 of the study guide. \u00a0 The 3rd grade will only be tested on the material in Studies Weekly:<\/p>\n<p>To log in to Studies Weekly: go to <a href=\"https:\/\/StudiesWeekly.com\">StudiesWeekly.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>User name: FirstnameLastname (must have capital first letter for each name, no spaces)<\/p>\n<p>Password: Firstname (must be capitalized)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/210\/2016\/09\/2nd-Grade-Unit-1-Study-guide.docx\">2nd-grade-unit-1-study-guide<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grading<\/strong> &#8211; To be sure that your student&#8217;s papers have been graded and recorded you should look for a number with a circle around it.\u00a0\u00a0 You should also see a check in the upper right hand corner.\u00a0 The check means that it has bee recorded in the grade book.\u00a0 Here is our grading scale:<\/p>\n<p>1 = 95-100%<\/p>\n<p>2=80-94%<\/p>\n<p>3=70-79%<\/p>\n<p>4=0-69%<\/p>\n<p>If you do not see a number in a circle and a check you should sent if back to school to be recorded.\u00a0\u00a0 Sometimes I will put a star at the top instead of a number.\u00a0 If students get a redo, this usually means they got a score that is less than 79%.\u00a0 They should correct their mistake, write redone at the top and turn it in again.\u00a0 They will get partial credit for a redo.\u00a0 I suggest students save their papers for a week to 2 weeks to make sure they are graded and recorded before recycling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NWEA Testing &#8211; We will be testing on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 3rd Grade.\u00a0\u00a0 2nd Grade will test only on Monday and Wednesday.\u00a0 Please be sure your child is well rested and well fed (protien not sugar) on testing days.
