Next week is a short week<\/strong> – No school – November 25-29\u00a0 – Have a great Thanksgiving Break<\/p>\n

MyOn Earth Science Project Homework<\/strong>– Both classes have been working on an Earth Science project on MyOn in class.\u00a0 I have extended the deadline to November 30th.\u00a0 I would like all students to finish their projects at home for homework.\u00a0\u00a0 Here are the directions:<\/p>\n

  1. They need to log on to MyOn.com,<\/li>\n
  2. click on the projects tab<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the Earth science project<\/li>\n
  4. Read 3 books and take notes in the online journal about 5 earth materials and how we use them.<\/li>\n
  5. Click on the writing assignment.\u00a0 Write 5 earth materials and how we use them.<\/li>\n
  6. Click to submit the project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I have put comments on most student’s projects to let you know what they have left to complete.\u00a0 If your project is finished I have posted your scores on MyOn and Parent Connect.\u00a0 It looks like some are finished writing but didn’t finish reading the books.\u00a0 Make sure you hit submit.<\/p>\n

    Spelling Homework\u00a0 and Reading logs<\/strong>– Please check your child’s spelling homework before it is turned in.\u00a0 Students have been getting sloppy and spelling the spelling words wrong on the homework.\u00a0 It is not good for them to practice spelling them the wrong<\/strong> way during the week.\u00a0\u00a0 Remind them the spelling words are written right on the paper.\u00a0 Please be careful and spell them correctly.\u00a0 Please emphasis the importance of doing their best on all home work.\u00a0 Please ask them to use their neatest handwriting, spell words correctly and capitalize all proper nouns and the first letter of every sentence.\u00a0 They also need to capitalize the title and the author of a book and put a period at the end of every sentence.\u00a0 I would also like a lot of the students to put more effort into the sentences.\u00a0 I would like to learn more about the book than you would just know from the title.\u00a0 They should write something they actually learned while reading.\u00a0 Thank you for your support in our team effort to educate your child.<\/p>\n

    Spelling Homework<\/strong> – The spelling homework was passed out on Friday and will not be due until the following week.\u00a0 There will be no test next week.<\/p>\n

    The Check<\/strong> – Please\u00a0 make sure that all papers have a check in the upper right hand corner of the paper.\u00a0\u00a0 This is my symbol that I have recorded the assignment in the grade book.\u00a0 If you get papers back and they do not have my check in the corner, please send them back to school.\u00a0 I have noticed that some students are putting papers in the wrong boxes.\u00a0 This may cause students to passed back papers before I have seen them.\u00a0 If this happens please send them back to school.<\/p>\n

    The school food drive<\/strong> will be over on Monday.\u00a0 If you plan on donating nonperishable foods, Monday is the last day.<\/p>\n

    Winter Concert<\/strong> – There will be a December 15th at 6 PM.\u00a0 More details to follow soon.<\/p>\n

    Missing Assignment Report<\/strong> – Here is the most recent missing assignment report, please check and make sure your child has completed all their assignments. – 11-21 GradeBookMissingScores<\/a><\/p>\n
