(don&#8217;t forget to be working on making your costume &#8211; see previous post for more info)<\/p>\n<p>Play: Begins at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1853098456\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5:30<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dismissal after Play:<\/p>\n<p>Students return to their assigned seats in the auditorium and are dismissed to a family member. This is similar to the end-of-day pickup at school. Parents are responsible for their children&#8217;s behavior after picking-up students after the performance.<\/p>\n<p>Refreshments after the Play:<\/p>\n<p>All families are asked to bring finger foods to share. Each family needs to bring their own plates, utensils and drinks.<\/p>\n<p>Raffles<\/p>\n<p>A 50\/50 raffle will be sponsored by the PTA.<\/p>\n<p><b>Extra Help Needed<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are needed to:<\/p>\n<p>Help with decorations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set-up ________________________<\/li>\n<li>Take down _____________________<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Help with Refreshments<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set-up _________________________<\/li>\n<li>Clean-up _______________________<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you for all your help with the students costumes and learning their lines<\/p>\n<p>Here are the final versions of our plays.\u00a0 I have added a few extra lines and changed a few slightly.\u00a0 I have also added an introduction with more lines for Medina and Ariana.\u00a0 Since Medina is out of town, Rawan is her stand-in right now and will do the extra lines if Medina is unable to prepare in time.\u00a0 Please make sure your child is practicing their lines at home.\u00a0 They should all be\u00a0 memorized by our play which is next Wednesday in just one week!<\/p>\n<p>Introduction:<\/p>\n<p><b>Ariana &#8211; Aesop<\/b> was an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ancient_Greek\">Ancient Greek<\/a> that lived around the years 620 to 564 BCE.<\/p>\n<p><b>Medina- <\/b>Scattered details of Aesop&#8217;s life can be found in ancient sources, including <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aristotle\">Aristotle<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Herodotus\">Herodotus<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Plutarch\">Plutarch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ariana <\/b>-He was a fabulist or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oral_storytelling\">story teller<\/a> credited with a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fable\">fables<\/a> now collectively known as <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aesop%27s_Fables\"><i>Aesop&#8217;s Fables<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Medina <\/b>&#8211; Many of the tales are characterized by animals and inanimate objects that speak, solve problems, and generally have human characteristics.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ariana <\/b>&#8211; Most have a moral or lesson to be learned at the end.<\/p>\n<p><b>Medina <\/b>&#8211; Today Mrs. Keebler&#8217;s class will be presenting two of Aesop&#8217;s Fables. \u00a0The 1st is the Chicken and the Golden Eggs and the 2nd is The Boy Who Cried Wolf.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ariana <\/b>&#8211; Thank you and enjoy the show!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/210\/2015\/05\/Aesop-Fable-The-Boy-Who-Cried-Wolf.docx\">Aesop Fable &#8211; The Boy Who Cried Wolf<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/keebler\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/210\/2015\/05\/Aesop-Fable-The-Chicken-and-the-Golden-Eggs.docx\">Aesop Fable &#8211; The Chicken and the Golden Eggs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ancient Greece Cultural Play (June 3, 2015) Events and Needs Arrival: Students arrive in costume at 5:15 and join their class in their assigns seats in the gym.
