Missing Assignments-<\/strong> We are only 8 day in to the new marking period and I already have students with missing assignments.\u00a0 Please help remind your students if they have missing work and have them complete it at home.\u00a0\u00a0 I am try very hard to attached an electronic version of all assignments to my lesson plans that can be access from the blog.\u00a0 Please print the assignments at home, have your student complete them and turn them in.<\/p>\n

Parent Connect Contest<\/strong> -I am going to have a Parent Connect contest starting on Monday 2\/9 and ending on Friday, 2\/13.\u00a0 All you have to do is look at your child’s scores on Parent Connect and you student will win a prize.\u00a0 I can see who has viewed their student’s page.\u00a0\u00a0 Help your student win a prize and go to Parent Connect.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This include Mrs. Polster’s class.\u00a0 If you still can’t get on to Parent Connect please email me for your user information.<\/p>\n

Study Island<\/strong> – Now that we have access to Chrome book computers, we have started to take Study Island tests in class, I would like a student to get a minimum score of 80% to pass the test.\u00a0 Sometimes it takes more than one try before they can get 80%.\u00a0 Practicing their Study Island at home would be helpful.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong> – We have finished our Unit on Light and Sound.\u00a0 We are starting our Unit on Force and Motion.\u00a0 We are kicking off the unit with a presentation and demonstration from a Ford Engineer (Mr. Polster – Mrs. Polster’s husband) on the physics behind Balloon Rockets.\u00a0 It should be a fun unit.<\/p>\n

WIDA testing-<\/strong> Will start this week.\u00a0 All students who put a second language on their enrollment application for school will be tested.<\/p>\n

Late Start<\/strong> – Wednesday, February 11th<\/p>\n

Mid-winter break<\/strong> – We will have no school February 16-20th<\/p>\n

Max Rotation<\/strong> – Ms. Stephanie will take Max over the vacation.\u00a0 Daniel will take Max on 2\/27.\u00a0 Then we will start over from the 1st person and go in the same order as last time.\u00a0 I will post a new list when I create it.<\/p>\n

Star of the Week<\/strong> – Because of the snow days I am extending Hassan for another week.\u00a0 All of the other stars will be moved back one week.<\/p>\n
