Parent Connect<\/strong> – Both Polster and Keebler’s classes should have gotten a letter in the mail inviting you to join Parent Connect.\u00a0 I high encourage you to check it at least once a week.\u00a0 You can view your children’s assignments, their scores and see if they have any missing assignments.\u00a0 If they got a low score on an assignment, I encourage you to help the redo the assignment to raise their score.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If you are unable to get into Parent Connect, you should check with Ms. Bernadette our secretary and see if you have an updated email on file with the school.\u00a0 If you are still having a problem please email me at keeblek@dearbornschools.org and I will try to help you solve the problem.\u00a0 This is a pilot program, so please give me feedback on how it is going.\u00a0 I am the only teacher at the elementary level in the district that is currently piloting this program, so Polster’s students will just see their Math and Science grades for 3rd and Science only for 2nd.<\/p>\n

Book Order<\/strong> – I am extending the due date for the Scholastic Book orders.\u00a0 They will now be due on Friday, 12\/5.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’t forget<\/strong> – Book bag assignments, spelling Tic-Tac-Toe and spelling sorts\u00a0 are all due today.\u00a0\u00a0 I am still missing several November Reading Logs, please turn these in by Friday.<\/p>\n

Friday Reading Log Check<\/strong> – I am going to start a Reading Log Check each Friday.\u00a0\u00a0 Please send in December Reading log on Friday.\u00a0 I would like to check how much everyone is reading.\u00a0 I will return it on Friday.\u00a0 Instead of coloring the calendar, have your child write the number of minutes read on each day.\u00a0 This reading log will be due after winter break.\u00a0 I will send a new log for January right before break.<\/p>\n

Holiday Performance<\/strong> – Our class will he having a holiday concert during their music time on Wednesday, 12\/17 at 2:30.<\/strong>\u00a0 A note went home a couple of days ago.<\/p>\n

Holiday Celebration<\/strong> – I have a tradition of making Gingerbread Houses each year.\u00a0 We will be making them this year on the Friday before Winter Break 12\/19 at 2 pm.\u00a0\u00a0 I will need donations of candy for decorating, graham cracker for the walls and roof and white frosting to “glue” on the house and to be snow for the yard.\u00a0 I have created a sign up list for everything we will need on SignUpGenius.\u00a0 You should have received an email about it.\u00a0 If you didn’t get it please check you Junk mail or Spam folders.\u00a0 If you still don’t see it, please contact me to make sure I have your correct email.\u00a0 Here is a link to the site:<\/p>\n
